Who we are

This website (p1plug.nl) and the P1Plug service are operated by Luminous Investments B.V., located at Rietven 45, 5751 NJ Deurne and registered with the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 92305105. We are the controller of the personal data described in this privacy statement.

What this statement covers

This statement covers the personal data we process when you visit this website and when you request a demo through the form. It does not cover the processing of meter data within the P1Plug service; that is set out in our agreements with the organisations we provide the service to.

What we receive through the demo form

When you request a demo, we receive:

  • your first and last name;
  • your business email address;
  • your company name;
  • the type of organisation you select;
  • your message, if you write one;
  • your confirmation that you have read this privacy statement.

We also include a few details about how you arrived on the website:

  • campaign information from the web address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content), if you arrived through a link containing it, such as an advert;
  • the address of the website you came from (without query parameters), if your browser shares it;
  • the page on which you filled in the form, and the language of that page.

We don’t use this information to follow you across other websites, and nothing is stored on your device for it.

Why we use this information

We use your details to:

  • respond to your request, and schedule and hold a demo with you;
  • follow up with you after the demo about a possible collaboration, where this fits your request;
  • understand which channels and campaigns lead to demo requests, so we can improve our marketing.

We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and promoting our service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, where applicable, to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We don’t sell your data, and we won’t send you a newsletter without your consent.

How the form is processed

When you submit the form, your details are sent to our own server. It checks the request and forwards the details by email to P1Plug (Luminous Investments B.V.). The website does not store a separate copy of your request in a database.

Your request arrives as an email in our business mailbox, as does any correspondence that follows. The retention periods below apply to it.

To prevent abuse of the form, it also sends how much time passed between opening the page and submitting. In addition, our server counts how often requests are sent from an IP address. That count is kept only in the server’s working memory, is not stored and is erased automatically after a short time.

Visiting the website

When you visit this website, our web server processes technical data needed to deliver the pages and keep the site secure, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. We keep these server logs for no longer than 14 days. If something goes wrong technically, the server that forwards traffic to this website may also record an error message that includes your IP address. We keep those error messages for no longer than 11 weeks. We don’t use analytics, advertising pixels or other tracking tools. See also our cookie statement.

How long we keep your data

We keep your request and the business correspondence that follows for as long as needed to handle and follow up on your request, and no longer than 24 months after our last contact. A longer period may apply if a business relationship follows, or if we are legally required to keep the data for longer. The website itself does not keep your request.

Who we share data with

We only share your details with parties we need to handle your request, such as our email and hosting providers, or where we are legally required to. We make arrangements with these parties about protecting your data.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful use.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access your data;
  • have incorrect data corrected;
  • have your data erased;
  • have the processing of your data restricted;
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
  • receive your data in a commonly used format (data portability).

Send your request to paul@luminousinvestments.nl. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
